2000 Jeep Cherokee left Rear Tail Light problem?
I have a problem with the left rear tail light and the tow package lights. The brake lights work, turn signals work, and the right tail light works. The only things that don't work is the left tail light and the the power going to the tow package lights.
Someone told me that it was a relay to the tow package because I had plugged in the wrong lights. But I can't find out which one.
As for the tail light, chances are a bulb has blown out. It's an easy fix, take off the housing and check the filament in the tail light, chances are it's busted. The tail lights are used often, so it's one of the first bulbs to go.
As for the tow package lights, it is most likely a fuse or relay. First, you may want to check under the steering column for the fuse box. See if there is a fuse there related to the tow package. Most likely there is one there, and it may be the problem. If not, you can check the under-hood fuse box. It's less likely that the fuse will be in that fuse box, since this one is more related to vital components of the Jeep, like the computer and airbags.
