What do you wear under your bike shorts? Jockstrap, briefs etc?
When I first started Cycling I wore underwear under my Bike shorts. I also had a lot of pain and wound up buying 4 different seats thinking that the saddle was the cause of the pain but none of them helped. This was quite frustrating because I was training for a 120 mile ride and my goal for this ride was to complete it in under 6 hours. Unfortunately, after just 2 hours in the saddle I was in extreme pain.
After missing that ride for the year I read that you are not supposed to wear anything, and when I went "commando", it made a huge Difference. I was able to meet my goal the next year and I owe it to getting rid of my underwear! I still don't like riding 6 hours straight without a break, but at least now I know I can do it.
