Tattoo Infection? Or just sensitive area??
Got a tattoo yesterday right below my bicep wrapping around to almost the elbow, it's where the arm bends. The tattoo'er said its a sensitive area, today it is still real red around the lines. I have other tattoo's but this is the first one that has actually felt this bad for this long. I have a stinging sensation in the area, and it still feels warm. No puss yet, and it doesn't smell funny, just like tattoo ink. Should I be concerned or just patient for another day??
It's just really sore from being tattooed. It probably feels like a nasty sunburn. I have a half sleeve and the inside of my arm was the worst. It's stayed red and swollen for about 3 days. just wash it with antibacterial soap at a minimum of 3-4 times a day using only your fingers (no wash cloths) pat dry gently with a paper towel and apply a thin layer of A&D ointment, rub it in gently like lotion, you don't want it real greasy. Use the ointment for about 3 days you'll notice that the tattoo will start to peel.....DON'T PICK IT...........when it starts to do that use a high quality lotion such as vasiline intensice care. Don't ever let the tattoo dry out and it should be fine.
